The national bowler on 25 Nov 2010's Straits Times frontpage was Ms Cherie Tan. She is currently our MLE3 student. Under sports section pg B14, ST has also identified her taking a year off her MSE undergraduate degree to train and compete successfully for these games, winning a Silver medal. Big congratulations to her!
Professor Frederick F. Lange passed away on Friday evening, April 2, while with his wife and family in Tucson, Arizona.
Last week, Dr. Stefan Adams's student Thieu Duc Tho has won the Best Poster Award (First Prize) (= 100 USD + free student membership in electrochemical society) for their poster T.D. Tho P.R. Rayavarapu and S. Adams; "Glass Formation, AC Conductivity Studies and Relaxation Behaviour in 0.45Li2O-(0.55-x)P2O5-xB2O3 Glasses" presented at the 4th Asian Conference on Electrochemical Power Sources in Taipei. more>>

Congratulations to Asst/Prof Daniel Chua for receiving the NUS Young Investigator Award 2006 for his research work on high-performance materials for microsystem applications. The NUS Young Investigator Award is a program from the Office of Deputy President (Research and Technology) which offers research funding to highly promising young faculty member.
